About us

Walk the Philippines / Everywhere is Home blog is a travel blog maintained by Eman Lerona and Iza Javier. They met each other in 2005 and got married last year. While Eman & Iza aren't exactly travelers in the strictest sense (where "travelers" is defined as people who travel to different destinations very often, say 4 out of 7 days in a week), they just love to travel. They believe they get to know and enjoy each other more when they travel - whether only a few blocks away from home or to the mountains of the Cordilleras - and they learn a lot from those travels. You see, they were born several hundred kilometers (and years) apart: Eman is from Iloilo and Iza is from La Union. So they had to travel in order to find each other. And travel to sustain each other. And travel as a commitment to each other. And so began their  travels and their stories.

But this blog is not about Eman & Iza but their travels. While this is primarily a travel blog, this is also about culture, literature, arts, even food. These ingredients are what made their travels (aside from each other's company, of course) more enjoyable. They figured others might find these bits and infos helpful (as well as entertaining).

Today, distance again separates Iza & Eman. Iza works as a Staff Nurse in Al Khobar, K.S.A., while Eman works as an instructor at the University of the Philippines Visayas in Miagao. Several hard disk drives, however, contain a lot of photos, obviously waiting to be rediscovered, waiting to be written about, images and memories waiting to be blogged here. Meantime, travels with friends will also be included.

Thank you for dropping by our blog. Please drop a message if you have any question.
